This was the day where my class had Language Development finals. It ended at 11.30 and most of them were planning to go back home right after. I was to go back on the next day, 8 pm bus to Ipoh. Yet, this day turned to be the most tragic day of my life..!!
There was extreme FLOOD in Perlis!! Which even caused one of the highway to Changlung to be closed. As we, the students of IPG Perlis were inside, we were totally unaware of the situation outside! But students staying outside were forced to come in hostel in order to attend examination. without being stranded by flood.
So, back to the story, after exam me and Kiki went to cafe for food, but then, GK was there telling the flood is getting bad and it is expected to get worse by 4 pm!! We got worried.. Karmen who was not in the idea of going back immediately booked GK as well. Goh Goh got panicked as well.. poor girl.. Gk was supposed to drop me, kiki, karmen and shoba in Alor star bus station. Goh was supposed to follow Mah out to bus station.. Too bad, the situation went out of hand and got worse. Gk's car was unable to pass the flood.. And so, ... ( BLANK!!) Furious!!!
Finally, there was this news of maktab bus sending the students to kuala perlis to get bus back home. Gk dropped us in front of maktab and went back to uncle's house.. We safely got on the bus, where Goh goh also was there. As we were at Kuala Perlis, there was a panic to go back to ipoh straight or to go alor star and take money and eat, then only go. We made our mind to choose the second choice. Yet, the stupid bus went back to Kangar bus station to get 2 people!! HUK HUK!!! lame.. yet, we could see that the situation was quite bad over there!!
Then, worried about some doinks who was just in room, not knowing the situation outside!! Made sure all knew the news and gave them the maktab bus contact num.. Thank god some managed to get on the bus to Alor Star!!!
Finally we reached A/s abaot the same time.. Then, we got on the same bus to go to IPOH!! I was like as long as we safely reach ipoh is more than enough!!
The next day, still a junior called me asking favour on how to go back!! I was like WHAT!!???? haven't gone back??? WHY????
She was like dad never allowed to take the bus last night. It seems there was a bus which sent the students to kuala perlis at that night.. So, i gave her the bus contact number to ask if there's any way out. And if there is, inform others who wants to get back home as well!!
Thankfully most of them went back home.
Even after getting home, i was so worried seeing the news and reading the newspapers!! There's yet 2 more exams to go!!! There was no peace of mind either, tAhinking of all this..
Off and on, i messaged IDA to get the update in maktab. She was a help as well so, thanks to her..
