From our club, five of us attended this forum, who are, Leo Kai Fong, Leo Alex, Leo Rion, Leo Kirrthana and also me. At first, before going to this forum, my stomach was filled with butterflies of nervousness.. HUHU!! First time attending and had no clue about this Leo club or Lions club. Then, on the first day, we met up each other in the venue of the forum which is the Tower Regency Hotel. Kai Fong helped us register as he is the chief delegate for our club. As so, we headed to the Fiesta booths where clubs all around Malaysia are selling badges, t-shirts, accessories, and more. At that time yes, i was still blur on all these happenings. There were plenty of Alpha Leos involved with this as the FOC chairperson is one of the Alpha Leo. The Leo's were screaming and promoting their booths and persuating the others to buy. WO!! PACKK!!!
We then found seats for ourselves to sit and watch LEO IDOL grand finals. They were really good especially the singers.. As it went on and on, we had to move over to EXCELSIOR. The omega Leo's accommodation was there. THEN, here we met our room mates in quite a scenario.. They were not that happy with the condition of the room and so for,... but we did settle the problem as it was not a big problem, they just left it without any choice. Both of them are super sweet and nice girls as they were friendly. This made me and kiki more comfortable to share the room with them. Kai fong was quite worried though..
We rested and had showers, started to get ready for fellowship night, WITH THEME: POERTEZ UN CHAPEAU- wear a hat.. After getting ready, we headed to grand ballroom. It was super cool on how these people managed it all. Really very impressive. And many did dress to kill.. wow.. The Leo Idol Finals took place and then, it was all about partying. I've never experienced a night club, but hell yeah i guess it was better.. Just that there were underaged kids.. huhu
We danced all night till our legs were aching. I had bruises on my toe!! ISHHH.... BUT I HAD loads of fun.. It ended nearly 1 plus and then we went back to the hotel and slept off..
The second day was the opening ceremony and it was where all the Clubs who are present to carry their banner upfront and present it in front of the LIONS. That was okie.. It was the forum theme talk then.. Z.E.A.L= ZEALOUS, ENERGY, AUGMENTS, LEADERSHIP.
The talk was inspiring as it was all about the need and importance of a leader and thinking of the mind.
After lunch, we were separated into district 308 B1 and 308 B2. We're 308 B2. There were presentations of awards for all the dedicated and achieved leo clubs and leo's all around.. And election took place..
HEaded to room to get ready for banquet night with theme : OSCAR NIGHT. We all got ready and went to D'Florex restaurant to have dinner and awards ceremony. It was an awesome night with good food. =) Here i saw the spirits of Leo's and Lions as a family where all work together to make this event a success. All joy and sorrow is shared. So many projects are organized to instill good values and bring out leadership qualities among them. It was a waste that I didn't have Leo club in my school. The LIONS are building great people for the future with the initiative to help others without asking to. Creative thinking and hardwork can be seen from the awards rewarded to the Leo's there. It gave my mind that, we, the IPG Leo's too have to contribute to the society.
On the third day/ the last day, we packed our bags and went over to Tower Regency Hotel to continue our activities. After breakfast, Lion Alan was speaking on the responsibilities of each and every role of Leo cabinet. He was also talking about the activities which are being carried out, should be different not the same old ones. Closing ceremony took place and we took some pictures and said good-byes.
We met many leo's from different places and got to know each other. as for me, now after attending this forum, i'm quite clear of some terms being used, and the aims and goals of Leo. Also as a future teacher, i find this program very good for alpha and omega leo's where it builds them from young. Something like prefectorial boards, girl guides, scouts and so for. It brings all as a family and creates great vibes in all with spirits flying high. Even though this was the first forum, and not many i got to know, but i look forward for more gatherings and meet ups.
I too had great time with my friends who came here. Especially kiki who's always there with me. Thanks a lot. I miss you!!! had so much fun with you this three days and am glad i shared this experience with you...!!!!
